These Terms of Service govern business rentals of IT equipment and related services provided by rentech to corporate customers in India. By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using rented equipment, you agree to these terms and to any rental agreement or order confirmation issued for your account.
1. Services
rentech provides business-to-business rental of laptops, desktops, workstations, servers, networking equipment, printers, security hardware, displays, and related accessories. Services may include configuration, imaging, delivery, collection, replacement units during the rental term, and GST-compliant invoicing, as agreed in your order.
rentech serves businesses of all sizes — from single-device orders to bulk fleet deployments — primarily across Bangalore and other locations in India, subject to availability and delivery coverage.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Our services are offered to registered businesses, institutions, and authorized representatives acting on their behalf. You confirm that you have authority to bind your organization to rental agreements and that information provided for KYC, billing, and delivery is accurate and current.
3. Quotes, orders, and rental agreements
Quotes are indicative until confirmed in writing. A binding rental begins when rentech accepts your order and issues a rental agreement, work order, or tax invoice specifying equipment, quantity, configuration, rental duration, pricing, delivery location, and any special terms.
Changes to quantity, specifications, or duration after confirmation may require a revised quote and agreement. Minimum rental periods, notice periods, and extension terms are stated in your order documents.
4. Pricing, invoicing, and payment
Rental fees, security deposits (if applicable), delivery charges, and taxes are as quoted and confirmed. rentech issues GST invoices for business customers in India. Payment terms — including advance rental, billing cycles, and accepted payment methods — are set out in your agreement.
Late or failed payments may result in suspension of support, replacement services, or collection of equipment, in addition to any remedies available under contract or applicable law.
5. Delivery, deployment, and acceptance
Delivery timelines depend on stock, configuration, and location. Estimated delivery windows are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing. You are responsible for providing accurate delivery addresses, site access, and a suitable contact for handover.
Equipment is deemed accepted when delivered and signed for, or when deployed to your designated location without documented rejection within the agreed acceptance period. You should inspect units on receipt and report visible damage or specification mismatches promptly.
6. Use, care, and acceptable use
Rented equipment remains the property of rentech or its financing partners. You must use equipment only for lawful business purposes, in line with manufacturer guidelines, and without unauthorized modification, overclocking, or removal of asset tags unless approved in writing.
You are responsible for reasonable care, secure storage, and protection from theft, loss, and damage while equipment is in your possession. Software licensing for third-party applications is your responsibility unless explicitly included in your order.
7. Support, replacement, and downtime
During the rental term, rentech may provide remote or on-site support and replacement units for hardware faults, subject to your agreement and service levels. Cosmetic wear from normal business use is expected; damage beyond fair wear, loss, or theft may be chargeable as set out in your rental documents.
Planned maintenance, configuration changes, or third-party software issues may affect availability. rentech is not liable for downtime caused by factors outside its reasonable control.
8. Returns and end of rental
At the end of the agreed term — or upon early termination where permitted — you must return all rented equipment, accessories, and documentation in working order, subject to fair wear. Collection schedules and notice requirements are specified in your agreement.
Failure to return equipment on time, or return of units with unreported damage, may result in continued rental charges, recovery fees, or replacement costs as documented in your order.
9. Warranties and liability
Equipment is supplied in good working order for business use. Except as required by applicable law, rentech disclaims implied warranties. Manufacturer warranties may pass through where applicable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, rentech is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits or data loss, arising from rental use. Aggregate liability for any claim relating to a rental order is limited to the rental fees paid for that order in the three months preceding the claim, unless a different cap is stated in your signed agreement.
10. Confidentiality
Each party will treat non-public commercial information received from the other as confidential and use it only to perform the rental relationship, except where disclosure is required by law or to professional advisers under duty of confidentiality.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate in accordance with the notice and exit terms in the rental agreement. rentech may suspend or terminate service immediately for material breach, non-payment, misuse of equipment, or unlawful use.
Upon termination, outstanding fees, deposits, and return obligations apply as set out in your agreement.
12. Governing law
These terms and related rental agreements are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bangalore, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise agreed in a signed contract.
13. Changes and contact
rentech may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version published on this page applies to new orders placed after the update date. For contractual terms specific to your organization, refer to your signed rental agreement.
